| Ginger Chih (Ph.D.,
University of Cambridge, Judge Institute
of Management Studies) has wide experience
in effective global strategic leadership
and organization development, change management,
organization culture integration, global
diversity management, executive coaching,
and cross-culture team building. She has
worked successfully with a variety of businesses
in the USA, China, Japan, and in Europe.
Her previous experience includes management
consulting in London, banking in New York,
and four years as an in-house consultant
for leadership and organizational development
for Motorola in Asia. There she guided cross-culture
teams with members from USA, Europe, and
Asia through a major organization renewal
initiative. Her role included assessing
and coaching the top management team, and
working with expatriate and local leadership
to meet the current and future needs of
the business.
She has also consulted to a number of global
organizations, including: ABN Bank, Tokyo;
Reynolds Aluminum, China; Swiss Bank, Tokyo;
Tokyo Marine Life Insurance, Tokyo; GlaxoSmithKline,
London; Nationwide Building Society, London;
Shell, London. Other client work includes
workshop facilitation for the Cabinet Office's
Developing Top Management Programme.
Ginger teaches cross-culture and global
diversity at the faculty for The University
of Cambridge, Programme for Industry, and
at Duke Corporate Education.
Ginger holds a Ph.D. from the University
of Cambridge, Judge Institute of Management
Studies, where her doctoral dissertation
was on the topic of comparing how Japanese
and American firms created and managed their
cross-cultural workplaces in China. She
has an MBA from New York University Stern
School of Business and an M.A. in Women's
Studies from Sarah Lawrence College. She
is co-author of A Place Called Chinese
America.
