Ten alumni of CIIS,
their invited guests, and family members
gathered at the Bel Air home and garden
of Phil and Phyllis Gainsborough in
Southern California for a wonderful
afternoon reunion. Alums were eager
to hear about the recent happenings
at CIIS as well as establish a network
of graduates living in the L.A. area. Also
in attendance were Joseph Subbiondo,
President; Richard Buggs, Dean of Students
and Director of Alumni Services; and
Dorotea Reyna, Director of Development.
After a few brief remarks, Grammy award
winning composer Bob Florence played
piano and spoke of his long career as
a musician and accompanist to many popular
singers.
Phyllis provided a delicious array of
appetizers and Phil relayed stories
about his father, Louis Gainsborough,
who was instrumental in the founding
of CIIS. |
