Alumni Notes: Human and Organizational Transformation

Diana (Bracy) Verhalen, (MA, 04), lives in Alameda, and cultivates participation as the Northern California Program Manager for the Labor Management Partnership at Kaiser Permanente (a non-profit health maintenance organization). She also has a private practice as a certified somatic coach, facilitator and change consultant; this work supports individuals and groups using appreciative and expressive arts methods to promote connection with and fulfillment of what matters most to them.


Francine Szymanoski (MA, CAST/HOT, 2000) is a Management and Program Analyst with the US Department of Labor in San Francisco. She also has worked as an independent organizational change consultant, primarily with public sector and nonprofits, and then as Chief Operations Officer for Pathways To Peace, an international nonprofit peace-building program based in the Bay Area. Her studies, experiences, and relationships at CIIS continue to inform and transform her work and life.


Liza Behrendt founded Alignment Consulting & Facilitation, providing arts-based counseling and group facilitation [http://www.alignmentconsulting.org/]. She is currently developing The Water Project, a global art project in appreciation for water www.alignmentconsulting.org/downloads. Liza welcomes feedback from CIIS alumni and friends!
