CIIS offers a fully accredited PhD program in Transformative Studies with a concentration in Integral Studies directed by Allan Combs, internationally recognized teacher and integral scholar.
As part of the Transformative Studies program this Concentration is transdisciplinary and inquiry-driven. This means that student research can flow from a wide range of disciplines and perspectives and is guided by interest and passion rather than by traditional disciplinary boundaries. This program stresses the role of the knower in the process of knowing through integral approaches to personal and social transformation, encouraging and guiding each student in the development of his or her own integral growth.
