What are the prerequisites for the program?
Students from any undergraduate major (from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution) can apply to the program. It is desirable to have social sciences, psychology, and biology coursework, but it is not required. Integrative Anatomy & Physiology is taught in the program.
Do I need to have an integrative health self-care practice?
Students are encouraged to develop an interest in such areas as yoga, fitness, herbalism, meditation, nutritional supplementation, Reiki, tai chi, Qigong, art therapy, sound healing, homeopathy, environmental health, bodywork, or guided imagery. Opportunities to deepen your exploration and knowledge in these modalities will be presented throughout the program.
How do I find an internship?
An internship advisor will work with you from the onset of the program, helping you to ascertain your interests in integrative health.
Do I need to attend the program full-time?
No. You can attend full-time (9 unites per semester), half-time (6 units) or part-time (1 to 5 units). You are only eligible for federal loans, however, if you are enrolled at least half-time (6 units). Most classes are offered in the evenings, weekends, or online, to make it easier for students to work while attending classes.
