Why a PsyD Degree?

Practicing Psychologists provide psychotherapy, assessment, consultation, supervision and training.  A clinical psychologist has a doctoral degree (PsyD, PhD or EdD) and, nationwide, spends an average of seven years  in post graduate training. The depth and breadth of this training allows a licensed psychologist to treat and diagnose a broad range of psychological and emotional issues and to supervise other therapists. Some Psychologists also design, direct and evaluate treatment programs, consult with hospitals and businesses, teach in both graduate and undergraduate institutions and conduct research.
