Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a B.A. in Psychology?
No, but it is recommended that students take at least a few foundational psychology and/or spirituality classes and/or have had some experience with meditative practice.

Can I attend part-time?

Yes. However, to qualify for financial aid, you must take 6 units per semester. (The full-time, recommended courseload is 9 units per semester.)

What do students do after they graduate?
M.A. students may go on to work as consultants, workshop leaders, or teachers. Others will continue working in their established fields as therapists, spiritual counselors, or administrators. Ph.D. graduates often will go on to teach at the university level, or continue pursuing their own research and writing in the field. (See Alumni at Work for more information.)
