The Ecology of Awakening: A Weekend Journey with Kerry Brady & James Stark

This weekend workshop is an invitation to remember our natural inheritance as an intricate part of the larger unfolding web of life. The opportunity is to begin to shift our center of gravity: out of what is conditioned and separate into what is ever becoming and connected to all life. Through deep nature connection and group and individual reflection we will learn to listen and respond to the way life continually evokes us forward. By re-remembering our place within the unfolding fabric, we support our ability to live in a more conscious and mutually enhancing way with all life.

Take hydrogen and leave it alone for 13.7 billion years

and it turns into rosebushes, giraffes and humans.

~ Brian Swimme

The weekend is designed to support you in tapping this creative force, to unlock your unique gifts and participate more fully in this extraordinary moment of planetary transformation. Through intimate and conscious encounters - with our inner impulses and the larger earth community that awaits - you will be supported in further discovering and exploring the fertile edge of your own deepest creativity.  To support this journey the weekend will be held in Bolinas at the Commonweal Garden, a unique permaculture farm surrounded by the Pt. Reyes National Seashore.

James Stark, M.A., F.E.S., is the co-director of the Regenerative Design Institute (RDI). He co-founded and co-directs the Ecology of Leadership program which creates powerful circles of change-makers by rooting itself in deep nature connection, inner transformation, and leadership skill development in order to revolutionize one's life and service in the world. James is also a senior trainer in the 3-year, full-time Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness training program, preparing young global community leaders for the "Great Turning" of our era. James has committed his life to exploring how we - our communities, and our entire species - might move into harmony with our selves and the natural world. He considers the programs at RDI a nursery for growing visions of the new era, and provides skills and tools to bring those visions to life. After earning a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica James turned his attention towards helping people explore and tend their inner garden. Like the natural systems and patterns that guide permaculture, his focus is to help others compost their constraints while creating healthy soil for their world visions to grow.

Kerry Brady, MA, SEP, supports others in awakening to an embodied recognition of our essential nature and inherent place within the larger unfolding web of life. She emphasizes re-storying ourselves into the living Earth community to support the shift in consciousness needed to create a truly regenerative culture. In teaching people to listen deeply and respond proactively to Life's continuous guidance, she supports others in discovering what within them uniquely wants to bloom. Drawing upon biologically based trauma work, she focuses on increasing our adaptive capacity as we navigate this extraordinary time of cultural and ecological transformation.   Kerry has over 25 years of experience in

transformational modalities including non-dual wisdom approaches, psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, bodywork, nature-based retreats and vision quests. Through her own intimate knowing of what it is to let go into unchartered territory, she brings a distinctly grounded approach to guiding individuals and groups in moving with more ease and freedom into the mysteries of the unknown.   Kerry has served as faculty at Animas Valley Institute, Regenerative Design Institute and the California Institute of Integral Studies where she and Brian Swimme co-teach courses on living in participatory engagement within a living universe. Additionally, she is a facilitator at the Trauma Resource Institute and is currently integrating their Community Resilience Model with permaculture principles and practices to create programs supporting resilience in both the human and Earth communities.
