Explore simple, yet profound nature-based movement practices you can use to support and resource yourself and your clients. In this nature immersion day, you'll experience body-oriented techniques that will help you develop a deeper personal relationship with the natural world that will help you communicate the healing power of nature in various settings. You will come away with practices that can be used indoors or outside with a diverse spectrum of people, and ideas for creating exercises tailored to the groups and individuals you work with. You will learn practical applications and guidelines for doing therapeutic work in nature, and dialogue about how to work with specific populations and issues using movement in nature.
Exercises include: opening to the present moment through your senses; grounding yourself with trees; developing empowering ways to move with natural elements; discovering the wisdom of nature through a Medicine Walk, and creating Earth altars.
This workshop available for 5CEs (MFT, LCSW, RN)
