Apply to the Ecoresilience Leadership Certificate


The deadline to turn in your Application Form, admission essay, and deposit payment is Monday, September 8, 2014. No previous experience is required in order to apply to this program. However, we do require an admissions essay to determine acceptance into the program. In 1-2 pages, briefly describe your background, why you are interested in the Ecoresilience Leadership certificate program, and what you hope to gain through your participation. Essays should be one to two pages typed, double-spaced, and submitted with your Application Form to Applications will not be considered without deposit.

Registration Deposit: $350
Total Cost: $1,350

A deposit of $350 is due at the time of application. If you are not accepted, this fee will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Should you wish to cancel after the payment of the initial deposit, an amount of $150 will be deducted from your refund. After payment of the initial deposit of $350, payment of the remaining balance of $1,000 must be received by Monday, September 22, 2014, to secure your space in the program. An installment payment schedule is available on a limited basis for those who can show financial need. Please contact our office at 415.575.6175 for details.

If a student withdraws before Monday, October 6, 2014, twenty-five percent of the full fee ($337.50) will be due. If a student withdraws before Monday, November 3, 2014, fifty percent of the full fee ($675) will be due. The full fee of $1350 is due if a student withdraws after Monday, November 3, 2014.

Refunds Granted after Refund Deadlines-Financial Petition Process
Students who believe they have extenuating circumstances warranting a credit, refund, or adjustment of the program cost may present a petition to Laura Reddick, Program Manager of Public Programs & Performances. The petition must include an explanation of this circumstance along with supporting documentation-this documentation becomes the property of CIIS and will not be returned. The petition must be submitted within 90 calendar days of the last day of the program.

A limited number of $500 scholarship awards are available. Thimo apply, please send a 1-2 page statement indicating what your financial situation is and why you need assistance. The statement is due by Monday, August 25, 2014. Recipients will be notified by Monday, September 8, 2014. You may submit your statement along with your Application Form.
