Therapy for Mind, Body, and Spirit

Psychotherapy is viewed as an intermittent, lifelong process where individuals seek services for varying periods of time as the need arises. Our service model holds brief and longer-term therapy as being equally valuable, where length of therapy and the treatment approach are determined by the presenting concerns as well as client preference. Psychotherapy is an active process, where clients are encouraged and empowered to begin making the changes in their lives that are consistent with their therapeutic and life goals. Using a holistic approach to counseling, we provide psychotherapy with a focus on overall well-being. We encourage attention to emotional, physical, and spiritual development as important aspects of an individual's total mental health.

The Psychological Services Center is located at 1390 Market Street, Suite 111A, in San Francisco, convenient to the Civic Center Bart Station and Market and Mission Street Muni stops.

Appointments

Appointments are available for a sliding scale fee, which begins at $30 per session. Fees are based on total household resources and determined at the initial session. Extenuating financial circumstances may be considered. We regret that MediCal, MediCare, or health insurance plans are not accepted at this time.

Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 am-8 pm and Saturdays by appointment.

About the Counselors

The counseling staff at the Psychological Services Center are mature, advanced CIIS Clinical Psychology Doctoral students, many already with an M.A. degree and over 500 hours of clinical experience. All counselors are closely supervised by licensed psychologists from the professional community to maintain a high level of quality care for clients. Our multicultural staff of therapists is experienced, competent, and well prepared to address psychospiritual issues and any other emotional-psychological concerns that are present. Counselors are trained from a multi-theoretical orientation that emphasizes self-awareness as a central tool for change.
