Women's Spirituality Faculty and Students Present at AAR Regional MeetingJun 16 2010
The March 2010 regional meeting of the American Academy of Religion (AAR) featured a strong showing of Women's Spirituality (WSE) faculty and students. Arisika Razak, chair of the department, who served as regional president this year, delivered the president's address. Two WSE doctoral students, Annette Williams and Laura Truxler, arranged for two panels of Goddess Studies papers. Three WSE graduate students joined faculty member Mara Keller on a panel, speaking on the topic of Ecofeminism and the Landscape of Goddess Veneration. Professor Keller's paper was entitled "Thesmophoria: Women's Mysteries of Fertility and the Renewal of Nature."
