ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Drawing on his pioneering work in Son of Man and The Gospel of Thomas, Andrew Harvey will present his vision of a radical Jesus intent on embodying divine love in every realm of the world. He will show how the passion of this radical Jesus has infused three great Christian mystics; Theresa of Avila; John of the Cross; and the great eighteenth-century mystic of the mother, Louis de Montfort. He will also present a clear and precise vision of the mystical path to embodying the Christ consciousness and give practices drawn from the depths of the Christian mystical tradition including the Jesus prayer, the meditation of conversation with the Christ developed by Theresa of Avila, and the practice of the Sacred Heart. Those who attend will leave with a vivid experience of the Christ consciousness and the essential tools to begin to embody it in the core of their inner and outer lives.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Andrew Harvey was born in South India in 1952. He has forged a vision of what he calls sacred activism, a fusion of mystical passion and wisdom with wise radical action. His new book, The Hope: A Guide to Sacred Activism, was released in September 2009.
