Evening Event 7 PM-9 PM - $10 Suggested donation benefit the WSE Alumni Scholarship Fund
Please join the CIIS Alumni Association, Veteran Artists, and the San Francisco Art Community as we sing, perform poetry and story-telling, dance and display art to “empower and honor” those who have gone through military and domestic sexual trauma, sexual assault and rape. We gather to raise awareness about sexual violence and to support the survivors in their healing process.
There will be both military veteran and non-veteran artists, from the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, you will enjoy holistic activities throughout the day including yoga, qigong, and belly-dancing, as well as informational booths.
Lastly, a Take Back the Night walk from Namaste Hall at 7:00 pm, ending at the Civic Center Plaza in a spiral candle-light vigil honoring those who have lost their lives and those who have survived. The Keynote Speaker information will be provided as the date gets closer. A $2.00 donation is suggested for each candle.
People of all ages, races, religions, backgrounds and genders are welcome and encouraged to attend this FREE event.
No one will be turned away at the evening event for inability to pay. Light refreshments will be served. United, we can stop the violence! This is a Clean and Sober, Hate Free Event!
