Human Sexuality Online Info Session

Each program offers informational sessions designed to offer you a sense of a program’s educational mission and admission requirements.You will have the chance to ask questions about curriculum to help you find the best program for your educational goals. If you are unable to attend a session but would like more information, please contact the admissions counselor for your program of interest.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

For transportation and parking information, please see the directions page. Parking around the Institute is limited; you'll find metered parking spots as well as pay-per-hour and daily-rate parking lots. We recommend that you take public transportation: The campus is located just a few short blocks from the Civic Center BART Station and the Van Ness MUNI station and is accessible via several bus lines (14, 47, and 49 buses, as well as the F Line, which runs along Market Street).

Human Sexuality with a concentration in Clinical Practice or Sexuality Policy Leadership

The PhD program in Human Sexuality at CIIS is unique in providing doctoral concentrations in human sexuality and clinical practice, and in sexual policy studies. Bringing together clinicians and policy leaders creates an interdisciplinary environment that expands holistic knowledge and skills for both groups. The PhD consists of two years of coursework, comprehensive exams, and dissertation. The program incorporates intensives, weekend courses, and online work, and is designed for working professionals. The doctorate includes a dissertation based on original research, as well as deep immersion in the clinical and/or policy realms.
