CIIS offers a warm welcome to our veterans and their family members who served to keep our nation safe. The information on this page will help you to determine the step-by-step process in securing your VA funding to attend CIIS.
Financial Aid Checklist
This is a checklist (downloadable PDF) designed to help you, as a student, through the process of determining and securing your educational funding provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs (apply for VA benefits online via Dept of VA)and CIIS:
1. Print your copy of Certificate of Eligibility.
2. Provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to the Financial Aid Office.
3. Coordinate with your admission counselor to be fully admitted into a program
4. File your Free Application for Student Aid online (CIIS school code is 012154).
5. Accept your awards online. (Use Firefox or Internet Explorer, Safari is not supported.) Your login is your Student ID (contact Admissions for this number).

Note: You must complete your Loan Entrance Couseling and sign (electronically) your Master Promissory Note online: www.studentloans.gov
GI Bill & Yellow Ribbon Program
The Department of Veterans Affairs offer all eligible students $17,500 in GI Bill funds per academic year in GI Bill for tuition and fees. Once you have exhausted all the $17,500, your Yellow Ribbon funding is provided - 50% by the VA and 50% matching by CIIS.Questions and Answers for VAs

When do my funds arrive?
Your VA education funds typically take 3 to 4 weeks after the add/drop date. If you are Yellow Ribbon eligible, your CIIS Yellow Ribbon match will be applied to your account after the add/drop date.
