Financial Aid Checklist
This is a checklist (downloadable PDF) designed to help you, as a student, through the process of determining and securing your educational funding provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs (apply for VA benefits online via the Department of Veteran Affairs)and CIIS:
- Secure your Certificate of Eligibility and provide a copy of it to Martha Estrada in the Financial Aid Office via USPS or email a scanned copy to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to the Financial Aid Office.
- Coordinate with your admission counselor to be fully admitted into a program.
GI Bill & Yellow Ribbon Program - Chapter 33
The Department of Veterans Affairs offer all eligible students $18,077.50 in GI Bill funds per academic year in GI Bill for tuition and fees. Once you have exhausted all GI Bill funds ($18,077.50) for the year, your Yellow Ribbon program covers your remaining tuition for the academic year: 50% by the Veteran Affairs and 50% matching by CIIS.

When do my funds arrive?
Your GI Bill funds typically take a few weeks after the semester is completed to arrive at CIIS. If you are Yellow Ribbon eligible, your CIIS Yellow Ribbon match will be applied to your account after the add/drop date.
