Women's Spirituality Affiliate Organizations
AMERICAN ACADEMY OF RELIGION (AAR) - The AAR is a "learned society and professional association for scholars whose object of study is religion." Thanks to much dedicated effort over the past few years, Goddess Studies has become a permanent section within the AAR. Women's Spirituality program chair, Arisika Razak, was President of the AAR/Western Region 2009-2010.
NATIONAL WOMEN'S STUDIES ASSOCIATION (NWSA) - "Established in 1977, NWSA is a professional organization dedicated to leading the field of women's studies and gender studies, as well as its teaching, learning, research, and service wherever they be found."
WOMEN'S GIVING TREE - "A project of educational beginnings" that provides information to individuals interested in NGOs in other countries about groups to which they might want to contribute goods, services, or money. Women's Spirituality core faculty, Dr. Mara Keller, is a member of the Board.
GLOBAL FUND FOR WOMEN - "Promoting women's economic security, health, education and leadership." Global Fund for Women is a non-profit, grant-making foundation that supports organizations that focus on women's rights.
ARIADNE INSTITUTE - "Offering life-transforming programs for women in Greece," including goddess pilgrimages to Crete. Dr. Carol Christ, Women's Spirituality faculty and author of Rebirth of the Goddess, is director of Ariadne Institute.
HEALING CLINIC COLLECTIVE - "Supporting The Bay Area Community with a Sacred & Political Framework." as a group of healers and social justice organizers, who provide a variety of healing services.
