Working with “Resistance” with Linda Cunningham

About the Presentation

Working with resistance is difficult for the beginning therapist. Feelings of frustration, impatience, confusion, and incompetence arise. Learn how to work therapeutically in this challenging clinical territory.

About the Presenter

Linda Cunningham, PhD, MFT, has taught contemporary relational theories for many years in both graduate and postgraduate settings, and currently leads a consultation group in depth psychotherapy in San Francisco. She is adjunct faculty in the Sonoma State University Graduate Depth Psychology Program, and at CIIS, where she teaches The Clinical Relationship. In her private practice in San Francisco and Corte Madera (Marin County), she works with adults suffering from anxiety; depression; blocked creativity; and relationship issues, including early relational trauma.
