Mindfulness-Based Experiential Psychotherapy with Couples with Rob Fisher

About the Presentation

Internally focused mindfulness allows clients to “act in” instead of “acting out” with each other. It assists them to gently access and talk about deep levels of delicate material that underlie repetitive patterns. They can step out of adversarial and into vulnerable and collaborative interactions. You will learn the principles and practical interventions that use present moment experience. Topics include: simple couple’s assessment, working with present time experience, exploring defenses by supporting them, working with boundaries, couples sculptures, touch in couples therapy, and converting blame to self-observation.

Integral Counseling Psychology Master's Program

The Integral Counseling Psychology (ICP) program is one of five distinct master's in counseling psychology programs at CIIS. ICP was the first East-West, transpersonal psychology graduate program in the world. Transpersonal psychology is a framework in which Western schools of psychology are synthesized with the world's spiritual traditions. We view psychological healing and growth within the larger context of spiritual unfolding.
