Accreditation Information for the Clinical Psychology (PsyD) Program
The CIIS PsyD program's current accreditation status by the American Psychological Association (APA) is:
Accreditation Revoked (Under Appeal).
The program filed an intent to appeal following the CoA (APA Commission on Accreditation) decision in November 2011. For programs that appeal a CoA decision, if the decision is upheld, the original CoA decision to revoke accreditation will take effect 30 days after the appeal panel hearing date (currently scheduled for July 2012). Until the appeal hearing is completed, the decision to revoke is not a final decision. So the program remains, in effect, on probation until that final decision is reached. Please feel free to contact our office directly at psydprogram@ciis.edu if you have any questions or concerns about this process.
