Robert Kenny
Robert Kenny’s research interests are collective wisdom, collaborative creativity, shared leadership and leaderful™ teams, reflective practice in teams and organizations, and the relationship between diversity and team wisdom. He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at CIIS, where he teaches Transformative Ways of Relating. He is a Fellow of the Fetzer Institute, a private, nonprofit operating foundation, which sponsors research on cutting-edge topics.
Robert is the founder of Leaderful™ Teams Organizational Consulting, specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, and the building of creativity and wisdom in teams and organizations. Robert and his wife, Julie Glover, run Bluff House Retreats, where they design and facilitate individual and team leadership and visioning retreats, and help teams learn to work with collective wisdom and creativity.
Prior to beginning his consulting work and teaching, Robert worked for 30 years in nonprofit and business organizations; in managerial and executive positions at the Federal Reserve Bank; Deloitte, Touche & Kohmatsu; Citicorp; and the International Center for Integrative Studies (ICIS), where he coled a comprehensive youth development program and community health and mental health center.
Through the High Tor Alliance for Community and Organizational Renewal, a nonprofit association of more than 20 organizational consultants, Robert has cofacilitated the Leaders’ Dialogue Project. The project has involved a nationwide, applied research program, together with dialogue and training programs regarding the impact of reflective practice upon team and organizational effectiveness, productivity, and creativity.
Robert is writing a book, Change Your Work, Change Your Life: The Transformative Power of Reflective Practice and Inspired Action. The book contains exercises and processes designed to enable individuals, teams, and organizations to introduce reflective practice in their workplaces and to achieve greater balance in their work, family, and community lives.
