Robert Forte

Robert Forte studied the history of religion with Mircea Eliade at the University of Chicago, and the psychedelic experience with Stanislav Grof at Esalen.  He has worked for two decades to help western society understand and benefit from the fruits of psychedelic mysticism.  A former lecturer on psychology and religion at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and former director of the Albert Hofmann Foundation, he is the editor of Entheogens and the Future of Religion , (1997, 2000)   Outside Looking In , (1998) a memorial volume for Timothy Leary, and the 1998 and 2008 editions of The Road To Eleusis: Unveiling the Secret of the Mysterie s, by  R.G Wasson, Albert Hofmann, and Carl Ruck.
