Greg Bogart, Ph.D., MFT, received his B.A. in Religious Studies from Wesleyan University, his M. A. in Integral Counseling Psychology from CIIS, and his Ph.D. in Psychology from Saybrook Institute in 1992. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in the East Bay. Greg has been a student of Jungian psychology since high school and has done extensive research on dreams and their clinical applications in working with depression, anxiety, anger, and sexuality to enhance relationships and to awaken spiritual potential. This is detailed in Greg’s book Dreamwork and Self-Healing, which will be published in 2008 by Karnac Books. This book describes a technique Greg developed called the Dream Mandala. Greg is also the author of Finding Your Life’s Calling (Dawn Mountain Press, 1995) and The Nine Stages of Spiritual Apprenticeship (Dawn Mountain Press, 1997). His writings have appeared in The Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, The American Journal of Psychotherapy, The Journal of Humanistic Psychology, The California Therapist, The Journal of the Society for the Study of Dreams, and Yoga Journal. Greg began to practice hatha yoga at age 14, studying with Allan Bateman and Judith Lasater, and receiving his teacher training certification from the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco in 1990. He also studied meditation with Swami Muktananda for many years.
