CCSF Transfer Students

On July 3, 2013, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges announced its decision to terminate accreditation for City College of San Francisco (CCSF) effective July 31, 2014. While the action to end CCSF accreditation is not yet final and CCSF is currently accredited, open, and enrolling students, many students now wish to fast-track their transfer to a B.A. degree-granting institution.

The Bachelor of Arts Degree Completion Program at CIIS wants to support CCSF students who are considering a transfer to finish their Bachelor's degree. In addition to reaching out to student campus groups and the transfer center, the Bachelor of Arts Degree Completion Program offers CCSF students:

  • free review of possible transfer units, including college credit for documented military training

  • lowered minimum transfer unit requirement for full admission: 54 units (instead of 60 units)*

At this time, we are not offering these conditions to students from other community colleges.

*Students transferring in with less than 60 units will be considered sophomores for financial aid purposes, until they reach 60 units.
