Finish Your Bachelor's Degree in One Year
The School of Undergraduate Studies offers a degree in interdisciplinary study through the Bachelor of Arts Completion (BAC) Program. The program serves returning learners who have completed the equivalent of the first two years of college.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Serving adult learners who have completed the equivalent of the first two years of college, the CIIS bachelor's completion degree is designed to complement busy lifestyles. Since 2000, this program has graduated 68 percent of its students within one year of enrollment.
COURSE OF STUDY
The core curriculum in the School of Undergraduate Studies evolves each semester according to our students, faculty, contemporary culture and emerging scholarship. In the core curriculum, students work together in a cohort, or a group of peers over the three-semester sequence.
ACADEMIC FOCUS
Students will still earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies but have the option of selecting an academic focus in Critical Psychology to deepen their studies and skills in this area.
COHORT MODEL
In the program, students work together in a cohort or a group of peers over the three-semester sequence. We believe that the skills of learning and working collaboratively and cooperatively are critical to society and the work-force in the twenty-first century.

Sandra Pacheco
Faculty

Associate Professor, School of Undergraduate Studies
"For me, the interdisciplinary program offers a more intimate and richer way to engage knowledge, address social issues, and expand perspectives. We attract students who are self-motivated, have rich experiences, and who are already quite knowledgeable. It's an honor to work closely with students to meet their academic and professional goals."
Jesus Solorio
Alum

Graduate Student in Counseling Psychology at CIIS
"After many years, I completed my BA and I did it in a way that was engaging. I had difficulties with the way traditional educational institutions teach and the BAC program at CIIS allowed me to bring in my full self to the discussion."
Donna Jo Veigel
Alum

Registered Nurse, Rady Children's Hospital
"I chose CIIS to obtain my bachelor's degree because I was seeking a more holistic type of learning than the common online degrees pursued by most of my coworkers. The BAC program has provided me with an internal healing and an increased community and global awareness."
