Sacred Sites of India Itinerary :
June 29- Depart at 9:00 AM from San Francisco International Airport via Chicago to Delhi
June 30 - Arrive in Delhi
We will meet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.
July 1 - Delhi - Amritsar Morning connect to air conditioned chair car train from Delhi to Amritsar. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel, the afternoon and evening is free.

July 2 - Amritsar We will great the morning with a city tour of Amritsar visiting the palacial Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh & Durgayana Temple. The Golden Temple is the Sikhs holiest temple. Sikhs from all over the world come to this site to pray.
July 03 - Amritsar - Agra
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival transfer by minibus to Agra. Visit the Agra Fort in the afternoon, overnight at hotel

July 04 - Agra - Jaipur Join a half day tour visiting the Taj Mahal - later on drive to Jaipur for an overnight stay.
July 05 - Jaipur Enjoy a morning elephant ride to Amber Palace. Later visit the Palace of the Winds during a half day city tour. The afternoon is free for browsing the bazaar, shopping, etc..
July 06 - Jaipur - Delhi Leave Jaipur late mornning back to Delhi. Overnight at a hotel near the airport.

July 07 - Delhi - Leh by Flight
Morning transfer to Airport to connect flight for LEH. Meet on arrival and proceed to hotel. Then visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Shankar Gompa. Rest of the day is free to rest and explore the Leh market.. Overnight at hotel.
July 08 - Leh/ Uletokpo

After Breakfast drive to Uletokpo enroute visiting Spituk, Phyang, Basgo Palace, Liker and Alchi monasteries. Also walk around the Alchi village and drive to Uletokpo. Overnight in camp.
July 09 - Uletokpo/ Lamayuru/ Leh

After breakfast, checkout from the camp and drive to Lamayuru monastery. Lamayuru monastery is one of the oldest and spectacularly set founded in 10th century. Afternoon drive back to Leh. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.
July 10 - Hemis Dance Festival

Full day Hemis Festival visit. Overnight at Leh hotel.
July 11 - Hemis Dance Festival

Full day Hemis Festival visit. Overnight at Leh hotel.
July 12 - Leh/ Khardongla/ Hunder

Travel by surface from Leh to Hunder enroute visiting Khardongla pass, which is the highest motor able pass in the world 17,000 feet and has been recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records. Continue drive to Deskit visiting the Gompa and then further to Hunder. On arrival check in at camp. In the evening visit the sand dunes and optional Bactrian camel ride. Overnight in camp.
July 13 - Hunder/ Panamik/ Samastaling/ Leh

Travel by surface from Hunder to Leh enroute visiting hot springs at Panamik and Samastaling monastery. Later drive back to Leh. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.

July 14 - Leh- Delhi
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Delhi. Sightseeing in Old and New Delhi. Later in the evening return to airport.
July 15 - Leh - Delhi
International flight arrives at back home.
