Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

with Chase Bossart and Kate Holcombe

The classical philosophy of the yoga darśana described by Patañjali in the Yogasūtra is a precise science of mind. In four short chapters, he clearly and succinctly describes both the capabilities of the human mind as well as the ways that these potentials can be realized. Patanjali's explanations are straightforward, easy to understand and immensely practical, as changing the quality of our mental state has far reaching ramifications in every aspect of our daily life.

We will review all four chapters, but focus primarily on the first and second, with a goal of understanding how Yoga refines the quality of our mind, can help us to clear negative emotions, create positive habits/behaviors, improve our relationships, and bring forth profound experiences.
