This experiential information session is designed to give you a feel for the program and the opportunity to ask questions. We will discuss the program, topics, speakers, approach to learning, and also give you an experiential taste of some practical mindfulness and compassion approaches that can be immediately applied to your practice. Rob Fisher, MFT and Lori Schwanbeck, MFT, instructors in the program, will be in attendance to answer your questions.

Qualifications and Requirements
The certificate is intended for mental health practitioners who are interested in developing a deeper understanding and application of mindfulness and compassion in their professional practices. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in psychotherapy, or permission from the lead instructor, and an interest in engaging in an ongoing practice of mindfulness during the program. In a short essay, briefly describe your background, how long you have been in practice, why you are interested in the Mindfulness and Compassion in Psychotherapy program, and what you hope to gain through your participation, and submit this with your application form.
Submissions should be one to two pages typed, double spaced.
Fees
Registration Deposit: $500
Total Registration Fee: $3,300
In order to hold your space in the program, please include a deposit of $500 (USD). We will not process your payment until you have been accepted to the program and notified accordingly. Should the program be full or you are not accepted, your $500 deposit will be refunded in full.
After payment of the initial deposit of $500, payment of the remaining balance of $2,800 must be received by February 14, 2012 to secure your space in the program. Should you wish to cancel after the payment of the initial deposit, an amount of $250 will be deducted from your refund. No cancellations or withdrawals will be honored after February 24, 2012.
Deadline
The application deadline for the 2012 program is February 3, 2012, after which time candidates will be considered on a space-available basis.
